Deep Water Port at Village Korlai
- Revdanda Harbour

Esquire shipping is developing a deep water port, which will be an all weather port. This facilitates berthing of ships alongside the jetty which eliminates barging costs. This will increase output to 20-30k tons per day depending on type of cargo thus increasing overall cargo output for the entire Raigad district.

In order to develop a deep water port, we intend to dredge the harbour to a depth of 15 metres. This will allow gearless panamax size vessels carrying cargoes to the tune of 1 lakh tons to be berthed alongside the jetty.

In stage 1, a total number of 2 vessels will be able to berth alongside the jetty. One will be for dirty bulk cargo and the other for container cargo.

In stage 2, 2 more births will be constructed and these births will be for clean bulk cargoes and for liquid cargoes, hazardous and non-hazardous.

Presently there is no commercial bulk handling port on the west coast of India except Mundra port in Gujarat where vessels can come directly alongside and load/discharge cargo. And this port will cater to the industrial zones of Mumbai and other Maharashtrian industrial regions. This will also be a boon to industries of MP, Karnataka and Goa.

The Company Indo Energy International has already received CRZ clearance from MoEFCC and has commenced development of the project.
